Trescore Balneario is a town and comune located in the Province of Bergamo within the Lombardy region of northern Italy. Situated approximately 15 km east of Bergamo, it serves as the primary center of the lower Cavallina valley.
The settlement's history dates back to at least 996, when it was first mentioned in a document under the name Trescurium. Historical records from the Middle Ages also noted a nearby town called Leuceris, which has led to some historical ambiguity regarding the original name and location of the initial settlement.
The area is notably recognized for its spas, which were originally inaugurated by the Romans. These facilities underwent significant restoration starting in 1469 under the direction of Bartolomeo Colleoni.
