Tradate is a city and comune situated in the province of Varese within the Lombardy region of northern Italy. It is located approximately 15 kilometres (9 mi) from the city of Varese.
The municipality received its honorary title of city via a presidential decree on January 28, 1958. According to the 2018 census, Tradate had a population of 18,983 residents.
