Sondrio is an Italian city and comune located in the heart of the Valtellina region. It serves as the administrative centre for the province of Sondrio.
As of 2015, the city had a population of approximately 21,876 inhabitants. In 2007, Sondrio was recognized with the title of Alpine Town of the Year.
