Porto Valtravaglia is a comune, or municipality, located in the Province of Varese within the Lombardy region of northern Italy. The town has a population of approximately 2,400 inhabitants.
Geographically, Porto Valtravaglia is situated about 70 kilometres (43 mi) northwest of Milan and roughly 20 kilometres (12 mi) northwest of Varese.
