Porto Ceresio is a comune located in the Province of Varese within the Lombardy region of northern Italy. It is situated on the shores of Lake Lugano, positioned approximately 50 kilometres northwest of Milan and about 11 kilometres northeast of Varese. The municipality lies near the border with Switzerland.
As of December 31, 2004, Porto Ceresio had a population of 3,080 residents. The area covers a total of 5.1 square kilometres.
