Pigra is a comune located in the Province of Como within the Lombardy region of Italy. It is situated approximately 50 kilometres north of Milan and about 15 kilometres north of Como at an elevation of 881 metres above sea level.
The town offers panoramic views of Lake Como and is accessible from Argegno via a paved road that winds through the Valle d'Intelvi. Additionally, a cable railway connects Argegno directly to the village, completing a five-minute journey that exceeds a vertical drop of 540 metres. As of December 31, 2004, Pigra had a population of 294 residents and covered an area of 4.3 square kilometres.
