Muggio was a municipality located in the district of Mendrisio within the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. It served as an independent administrative entity until its integration into a larger local government structure.
On October 25, 2009, Muggio merged with the municipalities of Bruzella, Cabbio, Caneggio, Morbio Superiore, and Sagno to form the new municipality of Breggia. This merger consolidated several smaller neighboring communities into a single administrative unit.
