Monza is a city and comune located in the Lombardy region of northern Italy. It is situated on the Lambro river, approximately 15 kilometres north-northeast of Milan. The city serves as the capital of the Province of Monza and Brianza and is the largest city within the Brianza area.
With a population of 123,672, Monza is the third-largest city in the Lombardy region. It forms an integral part of the Milan metropolitan area.
