Molteno is a comune and hill-top town situated in the Province of Lecco within the Lombardy region of northern Italy. It is located approximately 35 kilometres northeast of Milan and about 11 kilometres southwest of the city of Lecco.
As of December 31, 2004, the municipality encompassed an area of 3.2 square kilometres and had a recorded population of 3,206 residents.
