Lavena Ponte Tresa is a comune, or municipality, situated in the Italian region of Lombardy. It is located within the Province of Varese and sits along the shores of Lake Lugano.
The town is positioned approximately 60 kilometres northwest of Milan and about 15 kilometres north of Varese. It lies on the border with Switzerland.
