Grosio is a comune, or municipality, situated in the Province of Sondrio within the Lombardy region of northern Italy. It is located approximately 130 kilometres (81 mi) northeast of Milan and about 35 kilometres (22 mi) northeast of Sondrio.
The town is positioned on the border with Switzerland. It serves as a local administrative center within its province, situated in the alpine region of the Italian territory.
