Cremona is a city and comune located in northern Italy within the Lombardy region. It is situated on the left bank of the Po river in the middle of the Po Valley and serves as the capital of the province of Cremona, housing both the local city and provincial governments.

The city is particularly renowned for its significant musical history and traditions. It is historically associated with some of the world's most famous luthiers, including Giuseppe Guarneri, Antonio Stradivari, Francesco Rugeri, Vincenzo Rugeri, and various members of the Amati family.
