Cologno Monzese is a comune, or municipality, situated in the Metropolitan City of Milan within the Lombardy region of northern Italy. It is located approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) northeast of the city of Milan.
The town experienced a substantial increase in its population following World War II. This growth was primarily driven by an influx of residents who settled in the area from Southern Italy.
