Chiuro is a comune located in the Province of Sondrio within the Lombardy region of northern Italy. It is situated approximately 100 kilometres northeast of Milan and about 9 kilometres east of Sondrio, positioned near the border with Switzerland.
The municipality covers an area of 51.8 square kilometres. As of December 31, 2004, Chiuro had a recorded population of 2,499 residents.
