Cerro Maggiore is a comune, or municipality, situated in the Province of Milan within the Lombardy region of northern Italy. It is located approximately 20 kilometres (12 miles) northwest of the city of Milan.
The town serves as a local administrative center within its province. As a municipality in the Lombardy region, it is part of the urban and rural landscape surrounding the metropolitan area of Milan.
