Carnago is a comune, or municipality, located in the Province of Varese within the Lombardy region of northern Italy. It is situated approximately 11 km (6.8 mi) south of the city of Varese and about 40 km (25 mi) northwest of Milan.
The municipality covers a total area of 6.2 km² (2.4 sq mi). As of December 31, 2004, Carnago had a recorded population of 5,831 residents.
