Caravate is a comune located in the Province of Varese within the Lombardy region of northern Italy. It is situated approximately 60 kilometres northwest of Milan and about 15 kilometres northwest of the city of Varese.
As of December 31, 2004, the municipality covered an area of 5.1 square kilometres and had a recorded population of 2,569 residents.
