Brunate is a town and comune located in the province of Como in northern Italy. It is situated approximately 50 kilometres (31 mi) northeast of Milan.
The municipality has a permanent population of some 1,800 residents. However, it experiences a significant increase in population during the summer months as tourists frequently rent houses and apartments in the area.
