Bonate Sopra is a comune located in the Province of Bergamo within the Lombardy region of northern Italy. It is situated approximately 8 kilometres west of Bergamo and about 40 kilometres northeast of Milan.
As of December 31, 2004, the municipality covered an area of 5.9 square kilometres and had a population of 7,042 residents.
