Besozzo is a town and municipality located in the province of Varese within the Lombardy region of northern Italy. Situated in the lakes region, it is positioned approximately 6 kilometres from Lago Maggiore and offers views of the surrounding Alps.
The town is characterized by two distinct areas: an upper historical centre and a lower modern centre. The upper portion features a small historical core containing churches and noble houses known as Palazzi, with parts of this area designated as a pedestrian zone. In contrast, the lower part of the town serves as a vivid commercial hub housing shops, cafes, and banks.
