Sarzana is a town and comune located in the Province of La Spezia within the Liguria region of Italy. It served as a former short-lived Catholic bishopric and currently has a population of 21,786 as of 2023.
The town is situated approximately 15 kilometres east of La Spezia along the railway line to Pisa. This location marks the specific point where the railway heading toward Parma diverges to the north.
