Propata is a comune, or municipality, situated in the Italian region of Liguria. It is located within the Metropolitan City of Genoa, positioned approximately 25 kilometres (16 mi) to the northeast of the city of Genoa.
As a local administrative division, Propata serves as one of the constituent municipalities making up the metropolitan area surrounding the regional capital.
