Montalto Ligure was a municipality located in the Province of Imperia within the Liguria region of Italy. It was situated approximately 100 kilometres southwest of Genoa and about 15 kilometres west of Imperia.
As of December 31, 2004, the municipality covered an area of 13.9 square kilometres and had a population of 364 residents. At the beginning of 2018, Montalto Ligure was unified with the neighboring municipality of Carpasio to form the new comune of Montalto Carpasio.
