Roiate is a comune, or municipality, situated in the Italian region of Lazio. It is located within the Metropolitan City of Rome, positioned approximately 45 kilometres (28 miles) east of the city of Rome.
The town is geographically situated on the slope of Monte Scalambra. It lies on the hills nestled between the Sacco and Aniene Rivers.
