Lido di Ostia, commonly referred to as Ostia, is a large neighborhood located in Municipio X of the comune of Rome, Italy. Situated on the Tyrrhenian Sea, it serves as the official seaside resort for the city of Rome and is entirely contained within its municipal boundaries.
The area is situated near the ancient port of Rome, which currently functions as a major archaeological site known as Ostia Antica. Due to its coastal location, many residents of Rome travel to the district to spend their summer holidays.
