Forano is a comune located in the province of Rieti within the Italian region of Latium. It is situated approximately 45 kilometres north of Rome and about 25 kilometres southwest of the city of Rieti.
As of December 31, 2004, the municipality covered an area of 17.5 square kilometres and had a population of 2,697 residents.
