Fara in Sabina is a comune, or municipality, situated in the Province of Rieti within the Lazio region of central Italy. It is located approximately 40 kilometres (25 mi) northeast of Rome and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) southwest of Rieti.
The town serves as a local administrative center in the Sabina area, positioned between the regional capital of Rome and the provincial capital of Rieti.
