Civitavecchia is a city and major seaport located in the Lazio region of Italy. It is situated on the Tyrrhenian Sea, approximately 60 kilometres west-northwest of Rome.
Administratively, the city functions as a comune within the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital. The local harbour is characterized by two piers and a breakwater that features a lighthouse.
