Canepina is a comune located in the Province of Viterbo within the Italian region of Latium. It is situated approximately 60 kilometres northwest of Rome and about 11 kilometres southeast of Viterbo.
The town's name originates from the historical cultivation of hemp, which was once widespread throughout the local area. This specific crop was notably recognized for its pure white color.
