Campagnano di Roma is a comune located in the Metropolitan City of Rome within the Italian region of Latium. It is situated approximately 30 kilometres northwest of the city of Rome.
The municipality was first mentioned in 1076 and originated from the Domusculta Capracorum, a large estate established by Pope Adrian I around 780 based on Roman patterns. During the medieval period, the town served as a point along the via Francigena. Notably, Sigeric, the Archbishop of Canterbury, stayed in Campagnano di Roma around 990 during his return journey from Rome.
