Blera

Blera is a small town and comune located in the northern Lazio region of Italy. During the Middle Ages, the settlement was known as Bieda, which was an evolved form of its ancient name that was later restored during the twentieth century.

The town is historically significant as the birthplace of Pope Sabinian. Additionally, it was originally believed to be the birthplace of Pope Paschal II.
