Pulfero is a comune located in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeastern Italy. It falls within the regional decentralization entity of Udine and is situated on the border with Slovenia.
The municipality is positioned approximately 60 kilometres northwest of Trieste and about 20 kilometres northeast of Udine. Pulfero shares borders with the municipalities of Faedis, San Pietro al Natisone, Savogna, and Torreano, as well as the Slovenian municipality of Kobarid.
