Porpetto is a comune, or municipality, located in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeastern Italy. It falls within the regional decentralization entity of Udine and is situated approximately 25 kilometres south of the city of Udine and about 50 kilometres northwest of Trieste.
As of December 31, 2004, the municipality covered an area of 19.7 square kilometres and had a recorded population of 2,717 residents.
