Paularo is a comune, or municipality, situated in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeastern Italy. It is located within the regional decentralization entity of Udine, positioned near the national border with Austria.
The town is geographically situated approximately 50 kilometres (31 mi) north of Udine and about 110 kilometres (68 mi) northwest of Trieste.
