Ovaro is a comune located in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeastern Italy. It falls within the regional decentralization entity of Udine, situated approximately 120 kilometres northwest of Trieste and about 50 kilometres northwest of Udine.
As of December 31, 2004, the municipality covered an area of 57.8 square kilometres and had a recorded population of 2,166 residents.
