Marano Lagunare is a comune, or municipality, situated in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeastern Italy. It is located within the regional decentralization entity of Udine.
The town is positioned approximately 35 kilometres (22 mi) south of Udine and about 50 kilometres (31 mi) northwest of Trieste.
