Gorizia is a town and municipality located in the autonomous region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia in northeast Italy. Situated at the foot of the Julian Alps, it shares a border with Slovenia.
The city serves as the capital of the Regional decentralization entity of Gorizia and has a population of 33,620 inhabitants. It functions as a local center for commerce, industry, and tourism.
