Forni di Sopra is a town and comune (municipality) situated in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeast Italy. It falls under the Regional decentralization entity of Udine.
The municipality is located within the Dolomite Alps mountain range at the top of the Tagliamento river valley. Its geographic position characterizes it as a highland settlement in the northeastern portion of the country.
