Forni Avoltri is a comune located in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeastern Italy. It falls within the regional decentralization entity of Udine and is situated on the border with Austria.
The municipality is positioned approximately 130 kilometres northwest of Trieste and about 70 kilometres northwest of Udine. As of December 31, 2004, Forni Avoltri encompassed an area of 80.8 square kilometres and had a population of 704 residents.
