Sestola is a comune, or municipality, situated in the province of Modena within the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna. It is positioned approximately 60 kilometres (37 mi) southwest of Bologna and about 50 kilometres (31 mi) southwest of Modena.
The town is located near Monte Cimone and other mountains of the northern Apennines, which serve as the geographical boundary separating the regions of Emilia and Tuscany.
