Rubiera is a comune, or municipality, situated in the Province of Reggio Emilia within the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna. It is positioned along the Via Emilia, a major historical road and thoroughfare.
The town is located approximately 50 kilometres (31 mi) northwest of Bologna and about 13 kilometres (8 mi) southeast of Reggio Emilia.
