Rottofreno is a comune, or municipality, situated in the Province of Piacenza within the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. It is located approximately 160 kilometres (99 mi) northwest of Bologna and about 12 kilometres (7 mi) west of the city of Piacenza.
The town serves as a local administrative center in the rural landscape of the province, positioned within the geographical boundaries of the Emilia-Romagna region.
