Riolunato is a comune located in the Province of Modena within the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. It is situated approximately 60 kilometres southwest of Bologna and about 50 kilometres southwest of Modena.
The municipality is overlooked from the south by Monte Cimone. A notable characteristic of the area is its fraction, Le Polle, which sits at an elevation of about 1,300 metres. This location serves as one of the primary stations for the Monte Cimone Ski resort.
