Palagano is a comune, or municipality, located in the Province of Modena within the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna. It is situated approximately 60 kilometres southwest of Bologna and about 45 kilometres southwest of Modena.
As of December 31, 2004, the municipality had a population of 2,455 residents. The area covers a total of 60.4 square kilometres.
