Fanano is a comune, or municipality, located in the Province of Modena within the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna. It is situated approximately 50 kilometres (31 mi) southwest of Bologna and about 50 kilometres (31 mi) south of Modena.
The town serves as a local administrative center within its province, positioned in the northern part of Italy.
