Copparo is a town and comune located in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy, within the Province of Ferrara. It is situated in the fertile Po River Delta, positioned approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) south of the river and 35 kilometres (22 mi) from the Adriatic coast.
The municipality lies at a low elevation between 0 and 7 metres above sea level. Geographically, it is located 17 kilometres (11 mi) east of the provincial capital of Ferrara and 50 kilometres (31 mi) northeast of the regional capital of Bologna.
