Cesenatico is a port town located on the Adriatic coast of Italy in the region of Emilia-Romagna. It sits within the province of Forlì-Cesena, approximately 30 kilometres (19 mi) south of Ravenna and has a population of about 26,000 inhabitants.
The town is notable for its port canal, which was surveyed and drawn by Leonardo da Vinci. This project was commissioned by Cesare Borgia as part of his broader plans to fortify the nearby town of Cesena.
