Castelnuovo Rangone is a comune (municipality) located in the Province of Modena within the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. It is situated approximately 40 kilometres west of Bologna and about 13 kilometres south of Modena.
The primary economic activity in Castelnuovo Rangone is the production and treatment of pork. The municipality includes several frazioni, including Balugola, Cavidole, Montale Rangone, San Lorenzo, Settecani, Ca' Bergomi, Gualinga, Castello, Oratorio di Sant'Anna, and Santa Lucia.
