Castelnovo di Sotto is a comune, or municipality, situated in the Province of Reggio Emilia within the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna. It is located approximately 70 kilometres (43 mi) northwest of Bologna and about 14 kilometres (9 mi) northwest of Reggio Emilia.
The town serves as a local administrative center within its province, positioned in the northern part of Italy.
