Castel Bolognese is a comune located in the Province of Ravenna within the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. It is situated approximately 40 kilometres southeast of Bologna and 35 kilometres southwest of Ravenna.
As of 2006, the municipality had a population of about 9,000 inhabitants.
